The 29th edition of International Yoga Festival concluded on March 7 in Rishikesh and it has been lauded for bringing together people from different backgrounds. The event, which included lectures, yoga sessions and cultural programs, was attended by more than 2000 people from 96 countries. The closing ceremony took place on Parmarth Niketan’s ghat on the banks of the river Ganga. The week-long event featured a packed schedule for participants focusing on meditation, philosophy, asanas and pranayamas. Most days started at 4.30 am and ended at 5 pm with an aarti at the ghats.
