As a Student

During her school days, she wanted to pursue medicine and her favourite subject was Zoology. Aishwarya enrolled herself at Raheja College of Arts to become an architect but left it to pursue a career in modelling.

Honour

She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2009 by the Government of India and received ‘Ordre des Arts et des Letters’ by the Government of France in 2012. Aishwarya Rai is the only actress, who was invited for lunch by the US President George W. Bush when he visited India in 2006, but she couldn’t attend it.
