by NADEEM BADSHAH ONLINE FIRMS BASED IN THE SUBCONTINENT ‘TARGET UK UNDERGRADUATES’ UNDER–PRESSURE students have been warned not to cheat by turning to companies that offer to write their assignments for them for a fee. An Eastern Eye investigation has found ‘essay-writing’ firms based in India and Pakistan advertising on Facebook. Other businesses on the social media website are targeting south Asian undergraduates who are doing courses overseas. Under university rules, students are forbidden from getting another person to write an essay on their behalf or copy another student’s work.
