Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has recently been diagnosed with mild bronchial pneumonia. And it seems this will affect his 95th birthday celebration.
According to Udaya Tara Nayar, a close friend to Dilip and Saira Banu, who also wrote his biography, said, “Dilip has been diagnosed with mild pneumonia, and he is being treated at home. He is doing fine, but due to such unexpected events, we haven’t planned anything for his birthday as of now.”
A source close to the actor reveals that they may indeed have a muted celebration this year. “It will be purely a family affair. His health has been a major concern and due to on and off health issues, the family just wants to be together on this birthday.”

Earlier this year, Dilip Kumar was hospitalised for a brief while because of a kidney-related ailment and his homecoming has been followed by regular health updates on Twitter. Soon after his return home, Dilip Kumar had visitors like Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra dropping by.
Dilip Kumar, who received the Padma Vibhushan in 2015, the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994, is best known for his starring roles in films like Madhumati, Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam and Naya Daur.
