A biopic on PV Sindhu’s coach Pullela Gopichand confirmed

Bollywood is all about biopic now-a-days. After Saina Nehwal’s biopic news surfaced, a biopic on Padma Shree Awardee Pullela Gopichand who is the chief national coach of Saina Nehwal, is also in the making. The biopic will be produced by Fox Star studios. The film will be released in two different languages, Telugu and Hindi. Being hailed from Andhra Pradesh Telugu is the mother tongue of Pullela Gopichand.

Trade Analyst took to his Twitter handle today to announce the biopic. Today being the birthday of Gopichand, Taran wrote, “Fox Star Studios collaborates with Abundantia Ent [#Baby and #Airlift] to present the biopic of ace badminton player and Chief National Coach of Indian Badminton team Pullela Gopichand… Biopic will be made in Hindi and Telugu… Scripting underway… Shoot commences mid-2018.”

Reacting on the news about a biopic being made on him, Gopichand said to a leading Indian daily, “Badminton is at an inflexion point in our country and nothing delights me more than to see the rapidly growing interest for the sport, especially with the youth. I would be proud if by sharing my story as a film, we can encourage more and more people to pursue their dreams. I am excited with the developments on the film and look forward to Vikram and Fox Star taking this film to the masses.”

Gopichand is currently training Shraddha Kapoor for her forthcoming film based on the badminton champion Saina Nehwal’s life.
