Bhumi Pednekar has always been vocal about environmental protection and climate conservation. She has also launched an online and offline initiative called Climate Warrior through which the actress urges citizens of India to contribute towards protecting the environment.
Now, today, the actress has announced on Instagram that she has turned vegetarian and she credits her decision to her initiative Climate Warrior.
Bhumi posted a note on Instagram which reads, “For many years I had the want to go vegetarian. But breaking habits are very tough. My journey with Climate Warrior taught me a lot. It made me compassionate towards other species and made me more humble. Eating meat just doesn’t feel good anymore. So I took a decision in the lockdown and did what I was contemplating to do for a while now and one day I announced to the fam, that I’m giving up Non Vegetarian food. Today, it’s been a few months and I feel good, guilt free and physically strong.”
Talking about her movies, Bhumi has films like Durgavati, Takht, and Badhaai Do in her kitty. A few days ago, it was announced that Durgavati will be getting a direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime Video. It will premiere on 11th December 2020 on the OTT platform.
Recently, Bhumi completed the dubbing of the film and posted about it on Instagram. She shared, “Dub Completed! My life is now more like Rasode Main Kaun Tha? Actually Darwaze ke peeche kaun tha ? ? Bye Durgavati, see you the other side ☺️ . . . #Durgavati #11ThDec.”
