After Befikre, Ranveer Singh and Aditya Chopra to collaborate again


As per the recent reports, Ranveer Singh will be collaborating with Aditya Chopra on his next. The project is set to begin in 2019. A source said to a leading Indian daily, “Ranveer is in the know of the project and his date diary will be worked out accordingly.”

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is geared up for the release of the magnum opus Padmaavat. In the film, Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of an antagonist, Alauddin Khilji. Ranveer Singh had admitted that the character had impacted him mentally and that he had to take medical attention to come out of the negative character.

The movie also features Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The movie is slated to release on January 25, 2018.

Besides Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh has already started prepping up for Zoya Akhtar’s directorial Gully Boy which features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the pivotal roles.  Talking about the film, Ranveer had said to a leading Indian magazine, “This is my first feature film with Alia Bhatt, my second with Zoya Akhtar, two extremely talented people. It’s a space never explored before, space I relate to.”

Speaking about Zoya Akhtar, he said, “My sincere thanks to Zoya for being with me. She has waited since quite some time to make this film. She pitched it to me during Befikre. Zoya and Reema Kagti, our premium writers have written such a moving script. What also makes Gully boy special, is that I’m going to play a full-fledged Mumbaiya character. It’s my tribute to my city.”
