Arshad Warsi on Golmaal Again: I had a lot of faith in Ajay Devgn’s judgement

As the fourth installment of the Golmaal series is approaching its release date, actor Arshad Warsi revealed that he had date issues before confirming to join the cast of Golmaal Again. Arshad said, “It was not an immediate yes, it was bit of a struggle. I was shooting for Lage Raho Munnabhai so I was like I can’t do it. But later the dates of Lage Raho… got shifted so I was free. I liked the story Golmaal and I did it. Another reason for me to say yes to Golmaal was that I found Rohit very competent and I had a lot of faith in Ajay’s judgement.”

It is reported by the actor that there is a likelihood of making the fifth part of the Golmaal franchise only if Golmaal Again works well at the box office. Talking about what makes him be a part of multi starrer films or two hero films, Arshad said, “I never think if a film is a multi starrer or two hero or solo hero… I go by what I like as an actor in terms of my role and story. Good films work, bad ones don’t.”

Speaking about working for the third installment of the Munnabhai series, an elated Arshad said, “The next script in Munnabhai series is fabulous. It has nothing to do with Munnabhai Chale Amerika, whose mini cutout was made public years ago, this is a completely different script. The script is ready and hopefully the shoot should begin by end of the year or early next year.”
