After impressing us with her performance as Jhalkaribai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Ankita Lokhande has bagged her second film. She will be seen in Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi 3.

Talking to a tabloid about her character, Ankita said, “It is very challenging, but I am confident that my character will strike a chord with the audience. The third instalment is different from the previous two, as Baaghi 3 is more about family bonding. I play a fun-loving girl, who shares a great bond with her sister. I haven’t played anything like this on TV or in Bollywood and the audience will see me in a never-seen-before avatar in my next outing.”

Ankita rose to fame with her performance as Archana in the TV series Pavitra Rishta. After making a mark on the small screen now Ankita is eyeing on having a good run in Bollywood. Apart from Shraddha, Tiger, and Ankita, Baaghi 3 also stars Riteish Deshmukh in a pivotal role. The shooting of the film started a few days ago in Mumbai.

Reportedly, Baaghi 3 is a remake of Tamil film Vettai which starred Arya, R. Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, and Amala Paul. The makers haven’t spoken up about it yet but it looks like the reports might turn out to be true as in the original film Arya and Madhavan (Riteish and Tiger), and Sameera and Amala (Shraddha and Ankita) played siblings.

Recently, director Ahmed Khan had revealed that Shraddha would be undergoing training for judo and mixed martial arts for the film. He had stated, “After shooting in Mumbai, Delhi, and Agra, we leave for a 40-day schedule in Serbia in November. Three action masters, Kecha Khampakdee (he worked on the second part of the franchise as well) and Slavisa Ivanovic (stunt coordinator for Uri: The Surgical Strike) who’s from Serbia, along with a Bulgarian trainer, will be training her.”

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 3 is slated to release on 6th March 2020.
