Aishwarya Rai Bachchan approached for a film based on surrogacy

Filmmakers have been approaching Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with interesting projects. As per the reports, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been approached for a film Jasmine which is based on surrogacy. Writers Siddharth and Garima want the actress to play the lead role in the film. According to a leading Indian tabloid, Siddharth said, “Aishwarya is our first choice for this role.”

He added, “If she hops aboard, she will essay a rural, rustic character like this one for the first time. Aishwarya is flexible, and puts tremendous efforts into bringing her characters to life.”

Siddharth believes that Aishwarya’s acting prowess hasn’t been explored yet. Talking about the same, Siddharth said, “Her acting prowess is yet to be explored as filmmakers try to bank on her glamour. Few filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been able to tap into her skills. We hope to do soon with this film, but the cast is yet to be finalised.”

Garima Wahal spoke about the character that she wants Aishwarya to portray. She said, “The film puts the spotlight on a carefree woman, who doesn’t want a child. When she offers to be a surrogate, she finds herself advertently attracted to the child. The film will highlight the plight of our protagonist and how she changes as she spends time with the baby. The draft is ready.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be next featured in Atul Agnihotri’s upcoming Fanne Khan. The star cast of the film also includes Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles.
