Everyone who watches Hollywood movies must have heard of or seen a movie starring Morgan Freeman. If you have not, then you are not a Hollywood fan. In 1989, he pulled off a second Oscar nomination for his role in Driving Miss Daisy.
Fortune continued to favor him in the 1990s and 2000s and his popularity kept rising as a great actor. He has played the role of a knowledgeable inmate, pursued serial killers, crime boss, acted as a worried president of the U.S. He has twice played God and has also acted as a comedian. In 2005 after missing out on three Oscar nominations, he got the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Million Dollar Baby.

Morgan Freeman has acted with most of the leading Hollywood stars, both male and females of his era and he continues to do so. He had always wanted to get the film rights for Nelson Mandela’s autobiography Long Walk to Freedom but it was never finalized. However, he played Mandela in Clint Eastwood’s directed Invictus.

He made his debut as a film director for Paramount Pictures, Bopha! In1993.

He has narrated the story and script for a number of movies, documentaries and TV serials and to top it all; he is fluent in French as well! He is the narrator of the TV series Slavery and the Making of America, American Masters, Rameses: Wrath of God or Man? He is the narrator of short film ‘A Remarkable Promise’ and other documentaries.

Flying
From his younger days he dreamed of becoming a fighter pilot but failed to become one. However, at the age of 65 he got his flying license. He now owns three aircrafts and he’s licensed to fly all of them.
Bee Keeping
After becoming aware of the decline of honeybees, Morgan Freeman decided to turn his ranch into a honeybee sanctuary.
Trivia
He has a yacht parked in the Caribbean, but because of his busy schedule he only gets a chance once a year to sail in it. He owns properties in New York and Charlestown, Mississippi and owns and operates a blues club in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
