5 Bollywood biopics that we all are waiting for

Harshvardhan Kapoor, who began his acting career this year with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film Mirzya, is playing the biopic on the professional shooter and Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra. The biopic will be directed by Kannan Iyer. It is also reported that Harshvardhan is trying to get in the character, and is visiting the shooting arena.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi

It is an upcoming Indian epic biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai. It is being directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut plays the title role of Rani Laxmibai. The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.


Mogul – The Gulshan Kumar Story is an upcoming 2019 Indian biographical film written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and produced by Bhushan Kumar and starring Akshay Kumar as Gulshan Kumar. The film is based on the life of Gulshan Kumar who was the founder of the T-Series music and a Bollywood movie producer.


Shahrukh Khan has been roped in to play the lead in Rakesh Sharma’s biopic titled Salute. Rakesh Sharma was a former Indian Air Force pilot who flew aboard Soyuz T-11, launched 2 April 1984, as part of the Intercosmos programme. Salute was earlier offered to Aamir Khan who turned the film down but suggested Shah Rukh Khan for the role. Salute is the directorial debut of Mahesh Mathai.

Super 30

This is an upcoming Indian biographical drama film co-produced and directed by Vikas Bahl. The film is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational program Super 30. The film stars Hrithik Roshan as Kumar and debutant Mrunal Thakur.
