Asin is trained in the ancient martial arts form Kalaripayattu. She was pretty serious in her training and learnt the skill directly from Kalaripayattu gurus in Kerala. This intense session was for her movie title 19th Step, an Indo-Japanese venture. She is also a trained Bharathanatyam dancer and a recipient of three Filmfare Awards.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone received training in jujitsu – a Japanese martial art and a method of close combat for the film Chandni Chowk To China. For the film, she has performed all the stunts herself without seeking the help of a stunt double.

D’Souza has been often tagged in the media as the bubbly girl, after portraying the role of a young energetic girl in several movies, especially Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na (2008). She has been trained in Kalaripayattu. She underwent the hardcore training session for her film, Urumi.

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez is a fitness lover. The actress is trained in South Indian martial arts form of Kalaripayattu. She is also going through an extensive training in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) to shoot action sequences in her upcoming film Race 3, opposite Salman Khan.

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan learned karate for her film, Endhiran (Robot) starring Rajinikanth. She has learned martial arts from teacher ”Karate” Ramesh, the man who ran the Japan Shito-Ryu karate school in India for over 30 years. He was the special teacher who was allotted to teach her. He was really impressed by her and said, “she is a quick learner”.
