He is an Indian fashion designer from Kolkata. Mukherjee is one of the Associate Designer Members of Fashion Design Council of India and the youngest board member of the National Museum of Indian Cinema. Sabyasachi is especially famous for Indian Bridal Wear. Sabyasachi participated at the New York and at the London Fashion Weeks plus Bridal Asia 2007, Lakme India Fashion Week and the Vogue Launch event in India.
Ritu Kumar began her fashion business in Kolkata, using two small tables and hand-block printing techniques. Beginning with bridal wear and evening clothes in the 1960s and 70s, she eventually moved into the international market in the subsequent two decades. Kumar’s company has also opened branches in Paris, London and New York. Her clothes have been worn by celebrities such as Princess Diana, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Madhur Jaffrey, Kalki Koechlin, Dia Mirza, Soha Ali Khan and Jemima Goldsmith.
She has been designing wedding dresses since 1985. She crafted Rai’s pearl-encrusted lehenga for her Mehendi ceremony and an additional dress for her South Indian wedding ceremony. The designer has claimed her favourite wedding that she’s created pieces for was Rakhi Sawant. Neeta Lulla has designed for Shilpa Shetty, Aishwarya Rai, Sridevi, Sapna, Salma Azad, Isha Koppikar, Genelia D’souza and Juhi Chawla.
In 2005, he launched his couture label Manish Malhotra which offers bridal, couture, diffusion and men’s wear collections. He is also one of the top names in Bollywood costume design. And also is one of the first choices of celebrities such as sisters Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Mira Rajput, wife of Shahid Kapoor.
Tarun Tahiliani is best known for his ability to infuse Indian craftsmanship and textile heritage with European tailored silhouette.
